Shortly afterwards we had an opportunity to move to Ireland. With Irish roots we jumped at the chance. A year later on our first wine trip to France we were smitten. Eight more years of work and saving and our dream came to fruition.

We bought our vineyard in South West France where we pursue our passion to create great wines on fine terroir. Now, with the wisdom of many years of winegrowing we celebrate not a misty dream but years of hard work and the inspiration of working with nature and nurturing this farm back to the full health and flavour of a living biodynamic soil. In our risky endeavour we have felt a lot: sometimes fear, sometimes pain but mostly great joy and fulfillment. We hope that through our living wines you will find inspiration.

Chateau Haut Garrigue is on the edge of Saussignac village 1 hour 15 minutes east of Bordeaux city. From Bordeaux follow signs to Libourne then to Bergerac. When you reach Gardonne (about 1 hour 10 mins from Bordeaux) turn right to Saussignac at the Renault garage. About 4kms from Gardonne the road to Saussignac crosses a district road and starts climbing. About 100m after crossing the district road take the left fork (signposted Chat Haut Garrigue). Take the next road to the left (directly before the cemetary). We are the last property on that road. If you reach Saussignac village you have gone too far. From Saussignac village turn right at the school (also signposted Chat Haut Garrigue) and then right after the cemetary as you be coming from the opposite direction.
